Jane H. Self, 68, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Halifax Nova Scotia, while doing what she loves, traveling the world and living life to the fullest with her twin sister, Jeanie Borden, and her traveling buddies. She was born September 16, 1950 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to Frederick and Twila (Chakan) Hether. Jane was a retired Real Estate Broker at Charles Wayne Group. Jane was a member of Tomoka Christian Church where she participated in a bible study group and volunteered in the hospitality area. She was also a member and volunteer for the Daytona Beach Republican Club as well as the Halifax Health Hospice Resale Shop in Port Orange. Jane loved photography and took great joy in capturing the beautiful world around her and therefore was an award winning photographer in the Port Orange Photography Club. Family was very important to Jane. She devoted much of her time and dedication towards the passions of those she loved. Selfless, reliable, compassionate, and full of grace.  Jane loved attending her grandchildren's countless sporting events and performances, as well as touring the world with her closest friends and family. Survivors include her daughter Michelle (Shelly) Olsen and her husband Eric Olsen of Port Orange, FL, daughter Christa Blais of Daytona Beach, FL. Her three precious grandchildren, Collin Olsen, Sydney Olsen, and Braden Olsen. Twin sister, Jeanie Borden of South Daytona, FL, brother Dr. James Hether and his wife Kathe of Salt Lake City, UT, brother Charles Hether of Provo, UT. Many nieces, nephews, and great friends. She was preceded in death by, her husband J. Wayne Beighle, both of her parents, Frederick Hether and Twila Hether, step-mother Patricia Hether, oldest brother Dr. Frederick Hether Sr., brother-in law Bill Borden, sister-in-law Candice Hether, niece Jill Hether Segren. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Monday, October 22 nd at 11:00am at Tomoka Christian Church; 1450 Hand Ave. Ormond Beach The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am. Graveside services, located at Volusia Memorial Park, will follow the luncheon at Tomoka Christian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory to: Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbridge Trail Port Orange, FL 32129.
