Jamie Longfellow age 49 grew up in Florida having lived here since she was eight years old. She was a charter member of the Daytona Beach Police Explorers serving as secretary of the organization. She also assisted several other police agencies in Volusia County in establishing Police Explorer Posts.
Jamie was very proud of becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States. At age 33 she became a stroke victim but never allowed her disability to hinder her endeavor to enjoy life. She was internationally recognized for her wood carvings did beautiful needlepoint work and enjoyed traveling throughout the country via motorcycle. She enjoyed helping people within the Medical Office Complex of Florida Hospital?Ormond Memorial where she served as a volunteer.
Jamie was preceded in death by her parents James and Constance Cousineau. Her survivors include her husband and high school sweetheart of 30 years Michael Longfellow of Ormond Beach; a son and daughter-in-law Jason and Johanna Longfellow of Ormond Beach; a sister Jeanne Ryan of Cape Coral Florida; and a brother Ron Linsdell of Jacksonville Beach Florida.
