James H. Wood Jr., 84 of Holly Hill, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 between the hours of 1:00 P.M and 2:00 P.M., at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The funeral service will begin in the chapel a 2:00 P.M, and burial will immediately follow with at Daytona Memorial Park.

James was born on March 3, 1930 in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late Willie Mae Joiner and James H. Wood Sr. He graduated from Mainland High School in 1948. Following high school he went to work for the local family business Wood Propane. James retired from Widmaier Oil where he worked as a bookkeeper. James enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, trains, planes, listening to music and watching T.V.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and James H. Wood Sr.; siblings, Bill Wood, and Marian Bedell. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 64 years, Celia K. Wood; children, Constance Wood Rountree; James A. Wood (Shelley); Lisa Wood McCroden (Ron); Sandra Wood Shaw (Mark); grandchildren, Kellee Fulton (Chris); Thomas J. McCroden; great grandchildren, Nelanee Fulton; Zoee Fulton; sister in law, Barbara Wood; and many extended family members, and friends.
