James "Jim" Walker, Jr. was born in Huntington, West Virginia on August 21, 1922 to the late James and Vera Walker. He graduated from Douglas High School. He was an honorable veteran of WWII. He received his chef training from the Cordon Bleu in Paris. He retired as a Chef from United Airlines in New York. He was united in holy matrimony to Mamie "Mollie" Walker. He was a devoted stepfather to Kimberly Mohammed and George Brown.

James loved to travel, cruise, host, cook for and entertain others. He enjoyed doting on his nieces, Shelly and Patti. He celebrated his 92nd birthday in August at his favorite place Red Lobster surrounded by family and friends.

James went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Palm Coast, FL. He fought a good fight. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Kimberly Mohammed; parents, James and Vera Walker; brothers, Russell Walker; Thomas (Mary) Walker; sisters, Julia Walker and Ernestine (Marion) Johnson; special niece, Bernadine Murrell; nephew, Michael Johnson. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 28 years, Mamie "Mollie" Walker; stepson, George Brown; devoted Aunt, Evelyn Frasier; special nieces, Shelly (Eddie) Joyce Columbus, Ohio and Priscilla, Richmond, Virginia; nephew, Marion (Carmella) Johnson, Dayton, Ohio; a host of great nieces, great nephews and other relatives, and friends, and including special nieces, Dawn Frances, Mamie Frasier.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast at 2pm. Family welcomes friends to gather one hour before service. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
