James J Viciana, 77, of Daytona Beach Shores, FL passed away peacefully (non-COVID) in Atlanta, GA on January 28, 2021 with his loving family by his side.

James is survived by his wife Marcella, his two sons Scott and Ken, daughters in-law Carrie and Amanda, and six grandchildren (Kyle, Olivia, Javier, Danilo, Eva and Crosby).

He was born on October 13, 1943 in New York City to James and Lydia Viciana. He graduated Bronx Science and continued on to major in Engineering at Manhattan College.  James served in the United States Air Force and married Marcella on April 8, 1966.

James and Marcella settled and raised their family in Hillsdale, NJ.  He was a devoted father and very involved in the Hillsdale community, where he coached soccer and baseball teams for many years.

With his sons grown, James' business career expanded internationally.  His work included projects focused on mining, steel, material handling, renewable energy and data center real estate.  James also held many board positions for the companies he worked with.  He was well-respected and considered an industry expert and trusted advisor by his colleagues.

Extremely intelligent with a quick wit, James was an avid reader, a Yankees fan and also loved sports cars (specifically Ferraris).  When there was a need to have someone speak - no matter the occasion - James was the guy!  He was a fantastic storyteller and a lively debater.  James valued meaningful connections and had always been truly interested in those he crossed paths with.

With all of this said, James' selfless focus was always on his family and their well-being.  He was most proud watching his family experience success and happiness through their achievements and accomplishments.
