Thompson 86 of Ormond Beach who passed away on Wednesday December 20 2006 at Ormond Memorial Hospital will be held at 2:00 PM Friday November 13 2006 at Lohman Funeral Home 773 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach with Rev. William Neumann officiating. Surviving him are his Wife Betty 2 Sons James J. Thompson Jr. Ormond Beach Robert C. Thompson Lake City FL a Daughter Marlene M. Ruch Buffalo NY a Brother William Thompson a Sister Eileen Pickup 10 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Mr. Thompson was born July 9 1920 in Carbondale PA the Son of James J. and Mary Walsh Thompson. He married Elizabeth Havard February 4 1941. He served in the US Army during WW II. Mr. Thompson worked at Hanna Furnace Lackawanna NY as a steelworker for many years. The couple came to Florida in 1999. He enjoyed camping traveling and playing horseshoes.
