James C. "Sonny" Smith of Bunnell, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in Ormond Beach. A Graveside Service will be held at Shady Rest Cemetery, Holly Hill on Saturday August 18, 2018 at 10:30am with Mark Spivey officiating.

Sonny was a native Floridian, born in Daytona Beach and lived and worked in Flagler County. He retired last year from from the Flagler County Parks and Recreation Department.

Sonny was an avid fan of NASCAR and lifelong hunter and member of Bimini East Hunt Club in Bunnell.

He is survived by his daughter Stacy Smith, his sons James (Ashley) Smith, Travis (Amanda) Lauremore and grandchildren, His mother Caroline Smith and two sisters, Terri (Paul) Chandler and Becky Robinson. He is predeceased in death by his daughters Codi Smith and Christy Rahme. He will be sadly missed by many other family members and countless friends.
