SKAPERDAS James
James Skaperdas was called to heavenly rest with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday September 22 2006. Left to cherish his memory is loving wife of 54 years Claire; son Wesley & wife Pattie; daughter Evelyn & husband Mark; grandchildren Mark Jr. Kimberly Constance & Nicholas; great grandchildren Nicholas & Madison; and sister Niesa Skaperdas Rustad. Preceding James in death were his parents Ioannis John & Phoetini Skaperdas; sister MaryAnne Skaperdas Johnson; brothers-in-law Theodore Johnspn & Gunnard Rustad; and favorite uncle & aunt Nicholas & Concetta Skaperdas.
Late of Palm Coast FL James was born in New York City in 1925 and lived most of his adult life in Miller Place Long Island NY. James was a US Army veteran of WWII and he enjoyed a career as a public accountant in private practice in Port Jefferson NY. Jim was an active community leader serving in his church Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Setauket NY and on the Board of Directors of the Miller Place Schools and the Miller Place Fire Department. He was a life-long member of the Elks Club and a number of professional organizations. He was also the co-founder of the Luke?s Hill Kooks in Jay NY.
Family & friends may visit between 6:00 & 8:00 PM on Monday September 25 2006 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast and between 10:00 & 11:00 Am on Tuesday September 26. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday September 26 2006 in the Funeral Home chapel. A memorial service will also be held at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Palm Coast at a date to be announced.
