James W. Sim 84 passed away at his home on July 27 2013. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday July 31 2013 at 8:30 A.M at Our Lady of Hope 4675 S Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange FL 32129. Visitation will be held the night before on Tuesday July 31 2013 from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave Port Orange FL. James served in the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He relocated from New Jersey and settled in the Port Orange area in the 1990's. James was a foster parent to many children throughout the years. James loved to go bowling playing golf complete crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching sports; including wrestling and his favorite wrestler was Mickie James. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and kind heart. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine Sim. He will be remembered by his son James P. Sim Jr; daughter Sandy Sim; foster daughter Patti (Emile) Luckie; foster sons Roger and Steven Henderson; dearest friends David C. Hergert Terri Hergert; and grandson Dylan Sim. James will also be missed by his dog Cheyenne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City OK 73123-1718.
