James F. Sauers 64 passed away August 17 2012. James served in the United State Navy for 4 years during the Vietnam Conflict. He moved to New Smyrna Beach area in 1963 and relocated to Port Orange in 1971. James was a licensed barber for many years but also had a passion for boating. He was a captain of an oil rig supply vessel for 4 years and built wood boats for several years. James was a proud member of the American Legion: Post # 17 New Smyrna Beach. He was the beloved husband of Carla Sauers for 46 years. Brother of Tom (Cherry) Sauers Christine (Bob) Thompson and step-son of Edna Sauers.
