A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for James Francis Neary Jr. 75 of Ormond Beach on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father William Neumann as Celebrant. Interment will be held in The Garden of Glory at Daytona Memorial Park with full Military Honors. Mr. Neary died Saturday December 16 2006 at Ormond Memorial Hospital. His family will be receiving friends at Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL Monday afternoon and evening from 2 until 4 and 6:30 until 8:00. Surviving him are his Wife Betty 2 Sons Kevin and his Wife Carol Neary West Linn Oregon Andrew and his Wife Sherri Shannon-Neary Minneapolis Minnesota 3 Daughters Virginia and Husband Michael Echter Randolph NJ Elisa Anne and Husband Gus San Roman Port Jefferson Station NY Kristina Ortiz Cape Coral Florida 17 Grandchildren 2 Brothers Joseph and Robert 4 Sisters Patricia Hayden Mary Elizabeth Silver Rose Ann Cleary and Barbara Gilcrest . He was predeceased by a Sister Joan Maxey. Jim was born March 24 1931 in Brooklyn NY the Son of James F. Sr. and Rose Kelly Neary. He graduated from St. Augustine High School in Brooklyn and attended St. Frances College Brooklyn. He served in the US Army as a Cryptographer for 2 tours of duties during the Korean War. He married Elizabeth V. Mullberger May 21 1955. He was a talented Baseball player playing Semi Professional in the New York city area. He was an avid reader crossword puzzles and playing Golf.
