James R. Miller Jr. age 82 of Holly Hill lost his one year battle and went ""to the Man Upstairs"" from his home on Monday October 12 2009. In his honor a Thursday visitation from; 5-7:00 PM and A Friday October 13 2009; 1:00 PM funeral service will be held at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home followed by an interment and military honors at Daytona Memorial Park. James was born in Romulus New York to James R. Sr. and Ethel Miller. He was a proud US Army veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He dedicated his talents as a welder for the State of New York and enjoyed fishing motorcycles and working on all kinds of engines. He was an active member of the VFW DAV and Cooties; volunteering and raising money for many different causes. James was a great story teller especially when he spoke of the pride he had in his children and detailed explanations on ""how to do it right!"" He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother George and leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 59 years Mildred Miller; a son James III (DeeDee) Miller; 4 daughters Connie (Robert) Hayes Bonnie (Robert) Miller Louann (Paul) Sammons and Linda (Ron) Bracewell; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; a brother Robert N.
