James L. Martin 75 of Port Orange entered into eternal life at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday December 10 2008 at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 13 at the Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange with a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 before the service. Memorial may be made to Foursquare Gospel Church 878 Taylor Road Port Orange 32119
James was born February 15 1933 in Union City TN the son of James L. and Ester L. (Butler) Martin. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Perry on November 20 1965. He was retired from Jennison Wright in Granit City Illinois where he was employed as a Fireman Coalpasser.
Survivers include his loving wife Geraldine; sons: Lynn Ray Martin Jim Martin; daughter: Lori Martin; foster son Jim Ed Brown; brother: Gerald Martin Charles Martin; sisters: Virginia Satterfield Joyce Perry; and five grandchildren one being Jessica Martin who was especially close to James and Geraldine.
James was preceded in death by his parents daughter: Julia Martin; sisters: Margie Owens and Sara Katherine Martin.
