Obituary

James 'Jim' Kager of Daytona Beach passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Halifax Hospice in Port Orange.

He was born June 11, 1931 in West New York, New Jersey.  He leaves behind his loving spouse of 64 years, Charles 'Chuck' Ritchel.

Jim and Chuck, known by everyone as 'The Boys', owned and managed The Wellington on Live Oak in Daytona Beach, which catered to active retired women.  They also traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia and were veterans of 58 cruises.

Jim worked previously as a banker at the former Commercial Bank in Daytona Beach.

He was preceded in death by his father, Salvadore Ventura, and his mother, Helen Kager.  Jim is survived by his spouse, Chuck; a brother, Frank Ventura of Charlotte North Carolina; a nephew, Victor and a niece, Yvette.

Services will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona on Friday, January 25 at 11 a.m.  Guests are welcome at 10:30.  Entombment will immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
