James "Jim" Flint age 87 of Port Orange went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday February 15th 2012.Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 20th 2012 in the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home at 11:00am.

Jim was born on July 11th 1924 to the late James A. and Retha Browing Flint and grew up in Jackson Ohio. During his junior year of high school he was drafted in the US Army serving during WWar II in the South Pacific (Peliliu). Following his return from the service Jim had an extended career in quality controls at General Motors and retired after 35 years.

Jim was a devoted husband loving father and caring grandfather. He found true happiness in helping others in need. In his retirement years you could usually find Jim waiting for the next big catch on the Sun Glow Pier. After nearly 30 years of fishing at the pier he became well known and will be missed by many. He enjoyed church activities and the many dinners with the Young at Heart Club.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents James and Retha and siblings Harold and Mildred Flint.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 62 years Joy son Mark his wife Jennifer grandchildren Kiersten and Kenyon; and his honorary sons Travis Back and Mike Oney. He also leaves behind many extended family members close friends and a few fish for his friends.
