James R. Decker born in Bluffton IN on March 9 1940 to Brooks and Ruth Decker.
James married Carol Lynn Peugh on July 14 1961. He graduated from Bradley University and joined General Electric Company where he enjoyed a 28 year career living in Schenectady NY; Pittsfield MA; Philadelphia PA; Burlington IA; Daytona Beach FL. He also worked for 4 years at Rockwell International in Melbourne FL and retired from RobertShaw in Knoxville TN in 2000. He spent the last 8 years of his life in Palm Coast with wife Carol actively engaged in C.O.P. and working at various positions at St. John's Golf Course and Grand Haven. Member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church. His passions included keeping up with his grandchildren in New York and Kentucky NASCAR sports of all types politics. He was preceded in death by both parents.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Palm Coast FL two sons and daughters-in-law Steven and Julie of Pittsford NY and Mark and Suzette of Louisville KY and 4 grandchildren - Kelsey Ryan Alison and Samuel.
Mr. Decker's Service for Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Coast United Methodist Church at 11:00am on Friday November 14th 2008.
