James P. Coughlin 74 of Ormond Beach died Sunday May 30th at Ormond Memorial Hospital. Mr. Coughlin a Korean War Veteran of the US Army was born in Jersey City New Jersey.

He moved to Ormond Beach from East Brunswick New Jersey in 1979. He was a retired member and trustee of Local 1456 New York. After moving to Florida he earned his General Contractor License and was self-employed. He also enjoyed his employment with the Volusia County Sheriff?s Department.

He is survived by his wife Mildred his son James and daughter-in-law Linda of Holmdel New Jersey his son John of Ormond Beach Florida his daughter Denise Borgstede and son-in-law Russell of St. Petersburg Florida and his daughter Maureen of Ormond Beach Florida. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren James Michael Melissa Kathy Patricia Alexsandra and 2 great grandchildren. His brother John of Folsom California and his sister Catherine Harnett of Stanhope New Jersey also survive him. He was predeceased by his brother Peter.

Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday June 3rd with a Wake Service at 6:30 pm at Ormond Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church at 11:30 am on Friday June 4 2004.
