James O. Bryson
1926 - 2006

Memorial Services for Mr. James O. ?Jim? Bryson will be held at 2 PM Friday April 21 2006 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Mr. Bryson age 80 passed away at Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast on Tuesday April 18 2006.
Jim was born in Ft. Benning GA on March 5 1926 to Osborn & Claudia nee:Foster Bryson. He served his country in the Army Air Corps from 1944 through 1946. Jim was one of the Tuskegee Airmen serving as a Pilot and Flight Officer. He graduated from flight school at Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama on June 27 1945. After his service Jim received his Bachelor?s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Hampton Institute in Hampton VA and his Master?s Degree in Civil Engineering from Catholic University in Washington D.C. During this time he also began a 35 year career working for the Bureau of Standards a part of the Department of Commerce he retired from there in 1982. Jim also was a partner in his own civil engineering consulting company BKLB in Rockville MD and later served as Vice President of United Design Engineers another consulting firm. Jim has been a resident of Palm Coast for 13 years coming here from Rockville.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Jean Lyons. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Doris Bryson; step-children Darrell Brown and Karen Vails & their families; and niece & nephew Claudia Williams & Leonard Lyons & their families.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Bryson?s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
