Brown James E. Sr.

Funeral Services for James E. Brown Sr. age 76 will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 21 2006 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast in Palm Coast FL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service hour. Interment will follow the service in the Garden of Glory at Daytona Memorial Park Daytona Beach FL.
James was born at Garfield Hospital in Washington D.C. on September 27 1929 to Edward & Eula Brown. James served in the US Army during WWII & the Korean Conflict. Upon his return from service James began a career that spanned over 30 years as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Washington D.C. He was a big sports fan having been a basketball player during his service years and a big Cowboys fan as well. A lifelong Washingtonian James moved to Palm Coast in 2004.
James passed away on Friday September 15 2006 from his home in Palm Coast. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of almost 56 years Geraldine; children James E. Brown Jr. wife Ida Shepherd W. Brown wife Gloria & Iris Simms husband James; grandchildren Damon September James III & Shepherd Jr.; 14 great grandchildren and a devoted cousin Pauline Padgett as well as a host of other extended family members.
