Funeral Services for James Danny ?Big Dan? Barrett age 47 of Holly Hill who passed away on Tuesday October 14 2003 will be held on Tuesday October 21 2003 at 5 pm at Ormond Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm and 4 pm until the start of the service.

Mr. Barrett was the owner of Big Dan?s Tree Service and Firewood City. He was born August 7 1956 in Buford GA.

Survivors include his mother Dorothy Barrett Maguire formerly of Daytona Beach and was employed by the City of Daytona Beach; stepfather Frank Maguire of Myrtle Beach SC; two daughters Kristen Barrett of Bunnell FL and Jamie Lynn Cain of Holly Hill FL; a son James Daniel Barrett of Daytona Beach; a sister and brother-in-law Judy Barrett and Pastor Bob McMillan of Port Orange FL ; a grandchild Hailei Barrett of Bunnell FL; his ex-wife Debbie Holdren Barrett and her son Julian of Ormond Beach; a niece and her husband Kimberly McMillan and John Zijl of Lake Mary FL.

He was predeceased by his father J.D. Barrett of Buford GA and sisters Sherry Barrett of Buford GA and Rita Barrett Impson of Daytona Beach FL.

Dan was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church in Georgia and Moose Lodge 125 of Ormond Beach.

He enjoyed camping boating fishing and motorcycling. He brought cheer and vitality with him wherever he went. Though our time with him on earth is over and we will miss him dearly we rejoice that we will all be together again one day.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to any SouthTrust Bank in memory of ?Big Dan? under the name of Dorothy Maguire his mother in trust for his children. Interment will take place in Sugar Hill Cemetery in Georgia on Wednesday October 22. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Ormond Funeral Home.
