Obituary

Jacquelyn C. Purdy, 76, of Ormond Beach passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side
on June 10, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach. A Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday June 13, 2017 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Daytona. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday June 14, 2017 also in the chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. Interment will follow the service in Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue. Jacquelyn was born on March 3, 1941 in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from Mainland High School in 1959 where she was Head Majorette as well as the first to twirl fire. She retired after devoting her life to the students at Mainland High School, Calvary Christian Academy and Store Front where she worked in various capacities. Jacquelyn was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Choir. She loved her Lord and Savior. She was also a member of the KOOKY YUKES and the Sweet Adeline's. Jacquelyn loved to sing and was an avid pet lover. Most of all though she loved her grandchildren and her grand-dogs. They were the light of her life. Survivors include her four children, Darryl (Lynn) Eastman of Chelsea, AL, Debbie (Todd) Herget
Of Lawrenceville, GA, DaLynn (Mary Talluto) Purdy of Daytona Beach and Regena (Zachary) Ruip of West Palm Beach, FL; father, LeRoy Bowers of Crescent City, FL; nine grandchildren, Aaron Eastman, Ryan Eastman, Paige Robinson, Matt Herget, Marshall Herget, Rayna Ruip, Caitlin Ruip, Amara Ruip and Zara Ruip.
one great-granddaughter, Whitley Eastman and two grand-dogs, Saki and Macy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Sullivan Bowers, her first husband, Bruce Eastman and her second husband, David Purdy. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Boulevard, Daytona Beach, FL 32124. Condolences may be shared with the family here on our online guestbook.
