A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday May 10, 2019 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.

Jacqueline C. Ware was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 13, 1930 – the fifth of nine children of Iverson and Emma Logan.  She graduated from Bushwick High School in 1948, where she was awarded the Gold Key of Art and was urged to pursue a career in the Arts.  At this time, she was introduced to a World War II veteran called Billy Ware.  She told him I shall call you William.  On August 12, 1950 they were married, and she chose the daunting career of Housewife.  She bore three children – Patricia Ann, Cynthia Edith and William Anthony III.  Known to family and friends as Jackie, she was the rock in both troubled and still waters.  She was the guiding force that urged her husband to continue his education.  Thanks to her guidance and support, her husband received a BA in English.  Her children followed the path she set for them and when all three received their degrees, she returned to school to pursue her love of the Arts.  She took night classes and studied with the late Edwin Havas, Professor of Art at Seton Hall University.  She soon won many awards for her watercolor paintings and joined several watercolor societies in New Jersey.  She was also a member of the Maplewood Garden Club, Chrysanthemum Society and every Saturday put flowers at the bedside of the veterans at the Veterans Hospital in East Orange.  After moving to Palm Coast, Florida in 2004 she joined the Flagler Art League where she won many awards and citations for her paintings, volunteer teaching and other services.  She was given a Lifetime Membership.  She was also a member of the Garden and Flower Arranging Club and excelled in flower arranging and design.  With her quiet and gentle manner, she was a beacon of light and laughter.  She will remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew her as the "Lady" called Jacki.

Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, William A. Ware; three children, Patricia A. Fitzgerald, Cynthia W. Agee and her husband, Frederick and William A. Ware, III and his wife, Dana; four sisters, Ivy Scott, Shirley Taylor, Nina Dowdy and Norma Warwell and her husband, Ronald; and three grandchildren, Jonathan A. Agee, Matthew T. Agee and Alexandra M. Agee.
