Jack F. Stanley, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York on Sunday, October 17, 2021 while on vacation visiting with family.  He was 88 years old.

Jack was born on April 4, 1933 in Teaneck, New Jersey to George and Kathryn Stanley.  He was predeceased in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Stanley

Jack grew up in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey where he had graduated high school in 1951.  He served four years in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic and was a Korean War Veteran.  Jack was a member of VFW Post 6558, Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, American Legion Post 120, Holly Hill, Florida, Ormond Beach Elks #2193 and Daytona Beach Moose Lodge #1263. Jack served as American Legion Department National Cemetery Chairman for seven years and was very active in Flags for Fallen Veterans.

In December, 1996, Jack and his wife moved from Cornwall, New York to enjoy their retirement years in Florida.   During that time, they have gone on many adventures around our beautiful country. Last summer, Jack completed his travels to all 50 states, making North Dakota his last state.  Jack was also an avid sports fan.  He loved the NY Giants, the NY Mets and enjoyed following college football, particularly Notre Dame and Rutgers.  He was an amazing and interesting man with a remarkable memory who was able to entertain many with his ability to recount stories from the past.  His family and friends will remember him also as a loving, sentimental man with a wonderful sense of humor.  His Stanley smile, that lit up a room, will always stay with us.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Eileen Stanley, his six children, Jack, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, Pamela Rettino, of Randolph, New Jersey, Kathleen Murray, of Rockaway, New Jersey, Colleen Meyers, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, Kevin of Wurtsboro, New York, Maureen Ferrara, of Cornwall, New York, and nine loving grandchildren along with several nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Luke Ferrara.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 4-7 at Lohman Funeral Home, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 8:30a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL.  Burial will follow at  Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Hwy, 1, Mims, FL.
