Jack William Schafer was born May 17, 1954. He passed away Oct. 31, 2024, from a battle with cancer. He is survived by brothers Mark, Dick, Scot, Troy and sister Mary.

Jack was a 1972 graduate of Liberty Benton High School, Ohio. After attending college, he moved to Daytona Beach Florida. Jack worked in construction for Baily-Sigler for over 30 years. He enjoyed many outdoor activities like biking, kayaking and swimming at the beach. He was a loyal Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan.

Jack coached Middle School basketball for Warner Christian Academy, taught boys' Sunday School and helped with youth at White Chapel Church of God. He was a great mentor and friend to many people.

He was a bachelor and invested his time with 10 nieces and nephews. To them Uncle Jack was the greatest uncle in the whole wide world.

Jack had a strong faith in God which carried him through the toughest times of his life. We know he is enjoying Heaven with no pain. We miss you Jack!!!
