Jack Lynady 86 of Ormond Beach passed away June 2 2008. Visitation is scheduled for Friday June 6th from 5-7 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach. Services will be held Saturday June 7th at 10:00 am at Riverbend Community Church in Ormond Beach followed by a reception at The Aberdeen Club House on Clyde Morris Road. Jack was born May 9 1922 in Carbondale PA to John Lynady and Ruth Carden. He spent his career in law enforcement most recently with the State Attorney's Office. A resident of Florida since 1951 Jack was Past President of Daytona Beach Civitan and Past Commander of VFW Post 9986 in Astor. Jack served with the US Army Air Corp during WWII in the European Theater. During his retirement Jack enjoyed fishing woodworking and following politics at all levels. Surviving Jack are his wife of 59 years Helen sons John "Jack" (Cynthia) Lynady Jr of Atlantic Beach and Mark (Jill) Lynady of Palatka. Two daughters also survive: Connie (Joe) Brzuska of New Smyrna Beach and Pat (Karl) Umberger of Lake Worth. Jack's brother Robert Lynady of Kingston PA also survives. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren survive. They are (Grandchildren): Michelle Perry Jack III Zachary Nicole Erin Helen and Joseph; And (Great-grandchildren): Hannah Patricia Grace Caleb Carson Lynady Constance Taylor Joseph IV and Elena.
