Jack Gilbert 90 of Palm Coast Florida passed away June 7 2012 at Grand Oaks Nursing Home in Palm Coast. A graveside service will take place in New London CT. All arrangements are under the careful directions of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast and Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home New London CT. Jack was born Casper "Sonny" Alfiero on October 10 1921in New London CT. to the late Joseph and Antonette Alfiero. He proudly served in WW II in the United States Army. Jack worked as a Cosmetologist for many years owning many successful hair salons in the Hartford CT. Jack was preceded in death by his brother George and sisters Rosily Antoinette and Nancy. He is survived by his brothers John Alfiero of OH Joseph Alfiero Jr. of CT. Antonio (Flora Mauro) Alfiero of CT. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. For all that new him remember him for the big dreamer he was. Jack's utmost dream was to one day own a dude ranch and a pizza restaurant. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
