Funeral services for Jack Deibler 89 a Holly Hill resident since 1965 who died September 23 2007 at Hospice Care Center Port Orange will be held on Saturday September 29 2007 at 1 pm at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm and interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Born in Ashland Ohio Jack moved here from Hollywood Florida. He was an elder in Highlands Presbyterian Church and a veteran serving in the European Theater of World War II. Jack was bookstore manager of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University from 1965-1976 a salesman calling on college bookstores in Georgia and Florida as well as past president of Florida Association of College Stores. Jack was a captain in the Civil Air Patrol in Hollywood Florida and enjoyed flying bowling and fresh water fishing. Having played trumpet in high school he took up the trumpet again in 1997 and enjoyed playing hymns in church and duets with his grandson Joey Sita who also plays the trumpet. Jack is survived by a sister Mary H. Siegmann Hollywood FL; a step-daughter Becky Sita and step-son Scott Sizemore; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
