Obituary

Irma Nunez Riley, 87, of South Daytona, Florida, passed away on July 18, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 17, 1935 in Comayauela, Honduras to the late Miguel Antonio Nunez Aguilar and Eugenia Valeriano Aguilar. In 1959 she moved to this area from Miami. Irma later dedicated her life to The Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church in Daytona Beach as the Parish Receptionist. She loved crafting and her flowers, especially orchids and African violets.

Irma was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, John L. Riley, on July 26, 1991.

She is survived by her six children, Darlene (Wade) Music Whitley, Theresa (Walter) Colleen Jubinsky, John (Diane) Michael Riley, Patrick (Rea) Edward Riley, Victor (Katie) Joseph Riley III, and Paul (Stephanie) Anthony Riley; two sisters, Olga and Gladys; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 6-8 pm, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm, at The Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church, 317 Mullally St., Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 30, 2022 also at The Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Memorial Donations may be made in Irma's memory to The Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church, 317 Mullally Street, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
