Iris S. Kephart 84 of Daytona Beach passed away on Friday March 5 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 8 1925 in Oakfield Maine to Willard and Nina Simpson. Iris was a member of The Community Church. She loved crafts and made beautiful cross stitches. Iris was an avid golfer. She was a member of The Women's 9 Hole Golf Association of Tomoka Oaks Golf and County Club. She was a 9 Hole Club Champion many times. Iris loved spending time with her six grandchildren and two great granddaughters. She is predeceased in death by her brother W.K. Simpson. She is survived by her loving husband Arthur J. Kephart; one son Russell Franklin (Nina) Kerr Jr. of Tamarac FL; one daughter Rhoda Edwards of Port Orange; one sister Shirley Layman of Ormond Beach; two nephews Bob (Dana) Layman of Ormond Beach and Hal (Sandi) Layman of Ormond Beach; two nieces Melissa White of Ormond Beach and Robin (Breck) Johnson of Catonsville of Maryland; six grandchildren Alyssa Russell Amanda Gail Amanda Laura Kelly Alex; two great granddaughters Grace and Ava; and many loving great nieces and nephews.
