Irene June Swenson (Zuczek) 78 of Daytona Beach Shores passed away peacefully on Monday November 28 2011. Irene was born in Jersey City NJ on June 20 1933. She graduated from Bayonne High School and was employed for 18 years at Western Electric in Kearny N.J. In 1990 Irene retired to Daytona Beach Shores with her husband of 54 years the late Arthur Swenson.
She was best known for her love of cooking her vibrant personality playing Bingo always making people laugh but most of all loving being a ""Gramsy"".
Irene is survived by her daughter Renee (Dennis) Fruhwirth; granddaughters Sydney and Dani; sisters Maryann Nishimura and Theresa Gorda; ""son "" Brian Hammersley; and so many more who cared for her deeply. Services will be held at the Basilica of St. Paul in Daytona Beach on Monday December 5 at 10:00 am. The service will be followed by a ""Celebration of Life"" at The Oceans Racquet Club in Daytona Beach Shores at 12:00 pm.
