Irene Martha Roddy 87 of Port Orange FL passed away June 28 2009. Services will be held on July 11 2009 at 2:00pm at Community of Christ Church (RLDS) 700 Reed Canal Road South Daytona. Irene was born August 4 1921 in Detroit MI. She spent many years working as a Nanny which was something she truly enjoyed. In her spare time she could be found playing cards dancing making quilts or sewing. Irene will be remembered most as being a very proud and proper woman who always acted with the utmost etiquette. She will be dearly missed by her family and all those who had the opportunity to know her. Left to cherish her memory is her Son Gerald L. (Frances) Roddy Jr. of Lakeland FL; Daughters Linda (Gene) Holmes of Port Orange FL Karen (Danny) Hall of Memphis TN Barbara (William) Trousdale of Ferndale MI; brother James (Phyllis) Carriveau of Daytona FL; 15 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her husband Gerald L. Roddy Sr (to whom she was married 51 years); Brother Orville Carriveau and Sister Dorothy Abramson.
