Inez M. Ficalora 89, of Flagler Beach, Florida passed away on October 25, 2013 just 39 short days after her beloved husband Floyd's passing on September 16, 2013. After 71 years of marriage they could not be apart. They are now united as one again.
A visitation for Inez will be held on Monday October 28, 2013 from 3pm-6pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 10 am.
Both Floyd and Inez where born and raised in New York; Inez in Brooklyn and Floyd in New Paltz. They both attended and graduated from High School in New York. In 1942 they were married. They lived in New York, Inez went to work for the A&S Clothing store and Floyd worked as an automotive mechanic. Together they started a family to include four beautiful children. Inez and Floyd were active members of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Hempstead N.Y.
Upon retiring in 1987 they relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. Here they became members of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church then the Santa Maria Del Mar Church. Floyd was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Inez served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Eucharist Minister and a member of the Red Hat Society. For all that knew Inez and Floyd they will remember the love that they shared and the love that they had for their family and friends.
Inez was preceded in death by her Beloved husband of 71 years Floyd, brothers Joseph, Ernest, Alfred and Albert. Both Inez and Floyd leave to mourn their loss their children Anthony Ficalora of NY, Alfred Ficalora, of NY, Annette Ficalora of NY and Rosemary Ficalora of Virginia. They were also the loving grandparents to their beloved grandchildren Nicholas, Carl, Dominique, Monica and Gianna. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
