Imogene Roberts 72 Daytona Beach FL passed away February 9 2012 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Daytona Beach. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday February 15th between 4:30-5:30 pm with a memorial service beginning at 5:30 pm in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. Imogene was born on February 20 1939 in Fort Payne Alabama and relocated to Volusia County in 1981 from Chattanooga TN. She retired after twenty years as manager of the Dollar General originally Big Tree in Port Orange. She went back to school in her 40's and obtained her Associates in Sociology from Daytona Beach Community College. She was an avid reader loved thrift store the Home Shopping Network sharing recipes and she took great pride in her home and her independence. Imogene is survived by her sons Rick Watkins Chattanooga TN and Kenneth Roberts Daytona Beach FL; daughter Susan (David Vorce) Gendes Holly Hill FL; brother Jerry (Susie) Spellman Chattanooga TN; and sister Charlotte (Gary) Steele Sunset Beach NC.
