Ida Jean Shepard age 82 of New Smyrna Beach passed away quietly in her daughters home on Sunday August 31 2008. A Memorial service in her honor will be held at a later date. Mrs. Shepard was born in Altoona Pennsylvania and dedicated her live as a wife mother and grandmother. She spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker to her husband of 53 years. Ida enjoyed jigsaw puzzles cross words and reading and was a accomplished pianist. She was a member of First Methodist Church of New Smyrna Beach and the PA Club of NSB. She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin J. Shepard (2000). And leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters Nancy (Donald) Sunderland and Beth (Wesley) Chronister 5 grandchildren 6 grandchildren by marriage 10 great grandchildren 8 great grandchildren by marriage and a great-great grandson
