On Thursday November 6 2008 at age 91 after a long illness Ida J. Miller of Daytona Beach passed on to her eternal reward. A service in her honor will be held on Monday November 10 2008; 1:00 PM at the Baggett and Summers Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home 736 S. Beach St. Daytona Beach. Interment and a reception will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. A visitation will precede the service from 11:30- 1:00. Mrs. Miller was born in West Virginia and made that her home until she came here in 1960. Ida was a member of a rare breed; learned creative unpretentious; with a unique strength of mind body and spirit. After most of her children left home she fulfilled a lifelong dream graduated from High School and then Nursing School at Daytona Beach Community College. Ida will best be remembered for her love of reading her talent in sewing quilting cooking vegetable gardening canning and devotion to her family. This "Farm Girl" was a proud member of The Church of God and dedicated herself as a wife mother and grandmother. Her beloved husband of Perry W. Miller Sr a son; Perry W. Miller Jr. a daughter; Carol Sue Weaver and 4 siblings preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memory four children: Gary (Deborah) Miller Ponce Inlet Doris Escoe Ormond Beach Jeanette (Ellie) Larrimore and Iris (Jerry) Shaw both of Orlando 2 sisters Una Phillips and Clara Wynn of Clermont FL a son-in-law; Edward Weaver 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
