Hugo O. Veloz was a man full of virtues that will always reminisce in the hearts of the three children he left behind: Victor H. Veloz, Denyse M. Veloz and Ecko A. Veloz. He was born in Alausi, Ecuador, son of Miguel Veloz and Luz Naranjo. He lived in Ecuador for 36 years of his life until his bravery and courage opened the doors for him to move to the United States.

In 1991 he moved to Florida where he stayed for the remainder of his lifetime. Although not an easy life, Hugo was always hard working and would strive to achieve greatness. He never gave up on his dream of living a comfortable life and instilling his legacy on his family. His favorite phrase which was always repeated in hard times was "no pain, no gain." He truly resembled that phrase, and his work will never be forgotten as his house located in Deland, Florida is a constant reminder of the effort and creativity he bestowed.

Hugo will forever be remembered as a man who although not rich in wealth, was rich in the qualities that anyone would be blessed to have. He will forever be loved by all that knew him and had the gift of receiving wise advice from him.
