Hubert Barksdale of Palm Coast Fl passed away Thurs. April 8 2010 at The Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born June 30 1924 to Eugene Carlos and Rosa Malcolm Barksdale in Wrightsville Ga. Visitation will be from 12pm-1pm and the Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thurs. April 15th at 1pm-2 pm at Lohman Funeral Home 220 Palm Coast Pkwy. SW Palm Coast (386) 449-1100.
Hubert was a US Army/Air Corp he owned and operated his own TV repair shop in NY City then went on to earn his BS in Electrical Engineering from A&T College in Greensboro NC he went on to work for the Defense Dept. During the 60's he enjoyed traveling and working in many continents including Africa.
Hubert is survived by his wife of 43 yrs. Kizzie Davis Barksdale Palm Coast and loving son Donald Hubert Barksdale Atlanta GA; brother James Barksdale New York City sisters; Delois Jackson and Fannie Barney St. Petersburg Fl special sister-in-law; Alzie Bostic Palm Coast and devoted Johny and Gladys Spann of Palm Coast. He was preceded in death by two brothers Tommie Lee and Johnnie Barksdale.
