Funeral services for Howard Frederick Paugh age 84 of Holly Hill who passed away on December 28 at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange after a long illness will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ormond Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday.

Born in Bayonne New Jersey he was a resident of the area since 1980. Howard graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1942 and was commissioned in the Navy as an ensign. He served as a ship engineer with the Army Transportation Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war he was employed by the Getty Oil Company as first engineer. Howard retired from Getty Oil Company in 1975 after serving 40 years.

Howard a loving husband and father is survived by his wife of 62 years Genevieve; three sons Howard Paugh of Houston Texas; Dennis Paugh of San Antonio Texas and Lt. Frederick Paugh New Jersey State Police of Brick New Jersey. He is also survived by two sisters Gladys Callahan and Dorothy Parker both of Toms River New Jersey seven grandchildren two great grandchildren any many nieces and nephews.
