Homer Buckles 79 passed away June 4 2012. Homer loved to fish hunt and was a talented woodworker constructing dogsleds. He served in the United States Army 1st Airborne Division during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 10252 of Anchorage Alaska. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters Karen King and Sheryl Brooks; brothers Mark Buckles and Harold Buckles Jr.; sisters Lavada Murray and Lorraine Buckles; ex-wife Anne Buckles. Homer will also be remembered by his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Homer is predeceased by his daughter Debra Holmes. At Homer's request no services will be held at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Cardwell Funeral Home.
