Hilda Lucinda
Fisher
Jan 4, 1942 — Jul 7, 2023
Hilda Lucinda "Cinda" Fisher nee Grantham
Cinda Fisher, 81, of Daytona Beach Shores, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2023. Cinda was born on January 4, 1942 to Hilda and Norman Grantham in Smithfield, North Carolina. After graduating from Smithfield High School in 1960, she went on to study at St. Mary's College and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Beautiful both inside and out, she was crowned Miss Smithfield and Miss Congeniality and later competed in the Miss North Carolina pageant.
While teaching English at Mainland High School, she met the love of her life, Clifford Fisher, Jr. They married in 1965 and eventually opened Fisher Realty Services, a real estate appraising and development firm that they operated for over 30 years.
Most important to Cinda was raising the two daughters they had together. She was a fantastic mother that was always patient, creative, and supportive. This love of family carried over to her three grandchildren, who she always found ways to playfully engage.
Cinda had a passion for trying new things and pursued many interests throughout her life, both artistic (painting and playing guitar) and fitness related (Zumba, hiking, yoga, and tai chi). She enjoyed traveling, walking on the beach, and spending time with family including many cherished cousins.
Community was important to Cinda and she was involved in many organizations during her sixty years in Daytona Beach. She served as vice-president and president of the Tomoka Gem and Mineral Society, was a docent at the Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences, sponsored the Youth Group at Trinity Lutheran Church, and served on the social committee of her condominium.
Cinda was predeceased by her parents and brother Joseph Grantham. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Cliff Fisher; daughters, Cathy Roberts (Kevin) and Susan Brown (David); three grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Grant Brown, and Samantha Roberts; and brother Norman "Brick" Grantham (Laurel).
Those who knew her will miss her ready smile, sparkling personality, and abundant kindness.
Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (1205 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill) on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
Condolences may be shared with the Family here on our online guestbook (and at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com ).
Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
