Herman Alson Adkins, of Deltona, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 22, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Osteen, 321 N. State Road 415, Osteen. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, at Lohman Funeral Home Deltona, 1681 Providence Blvd., Deltona. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 1:30pm at Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY. Alson was born on June 13, 1942 in Miamisburg, Ohio to Herman and Aimee Adkins. He was an avid story teller and very passionate about antique cars. Alson was very active and dedicated to his church First Baptist Church of Osteen. He was an active member in the Sandcastle Storytellers, Reflections Group, and the Florida Region Antique Automobile Club of America.
He is survived by his son Andrew Adkins of Deltona, FL, and brother Isaac Adkins of McKee, KY. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Nellie Adkins, and his brother Wayne Adkins.
