Herbert Lampe age 88 of Daytona Beach passed away on Tuesday May 3 2011 and went to the big golf course in the sky. Maybe now he'll get that illusive hole-in-one. Herb was only 3 weeks from his 89th birthday. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Herb leaves a huge hole in Donna's heart his partner in life and golf. Herb served in the US Army for 2 years in Luzon Philippines. He worked in the FBI for 10 years and the balance of his career was with the US State Department foreign services. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife Donna two sons Alan Lampe Don Lampe (wife: Mary) of Bowie MD one daughter Bonnie Elie (husband: Paul) of Dracut MA. They along with 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren have fond memories which will sustain them in the future. Herb is preceded in death by his first wife Margie and his cremains will be buried next to her at the Arlington Nation Cemetery. There will be no formal memorial service however Donna and his children will be at the Clubhouse Restaurant Thursday May 5th at 4:30.
