Boone Herbert Henry 84 of Port Orange passed away on Saturday August 7th 2010 with his family at his side. A funeral service in his honor will be held Tuesday August 10 2010 at 1:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange Chapel 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange followed by interment at Daytona Memorial Park; family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Mr. Boone was born and raised in Miami FL the son of Morris and Eula Mae Boone. Herbert proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Herbert belonged to the LST Association and was a Southern Bell Pioneer for 30 years as a cable splicer and supervisor. He was a collector of antique car horns and Hit and Miss Engines and enjoyed fishing and camping. Most of all he loved his family and spending time together. Left to cherish their memories together are his loving wife of 62 years Barbara Loadholt; his sons William (Nancy) of Port Orange and Daniel (Sara) of Cleveland GA; his daughters Hallie Horton of Arrington TN Susan Aiken of Cumming GA and Amanda Boone-Blocker of Gainesville FL; his brother Harvey (Sallye) of Palatka FL; his 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
