Henry "Wake" Gailey on June 30, 2023 passed at the age of 72 years old. Wake was a hard-working family man who loved to live 18 holes at a time. As an avid golfer, most would find him on the fairways with his brothers and friends on the weekends. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. Wake was led by God; and he loved his family with all his heart. His joy was being a great Papa and loved spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

He achieved his journeyman's license in 1975 and dedicated 41 years to the business becoming the Senior Vice President of Carter Electric.

Everyone that knows Wake will remember him for his commitment to work, sense of humor, love of golf, Florida State Seminoles, and his family.

Henry is survived by his wife Eileen; daughter Kimberly Gailey; step-daughters Cara Anderson & Jamie Dickey (Monte); grandchildren Robert, Brandon, Krista & Stephen; brother Truman "Roy" Gailey Jr. (Sherry); sisters Gertrude Gallaway & Patsy Story; and many nephews and family members. He is predeceased by his parents Truman Elroy Gailey Sr., Virginia Hartsfield, and his brother William R. Gailey (Cathy).

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Chapel on Saturday July 15th, 2023 at 2 PM with a reception to immediately follow.  The care of Henry "Wake" Gailey is entrusted to LOHMAN FUNERAL HOME ORMOND, 733 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, 386-673-1100.
