Funeral services for Henry ?Hank? Christofferson 77 of Daytona Beach who passed away Saturday February 25 2006 at Halifax Medical Center from complications of Alzheimer?s disease will be 2:00 pm February 27 2006 at the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday February 25 at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. Mr. Christofferson a retired banker was born in Brooklyn NY. He was educated at Columbia and New York Universities. Hank earned a MBA from NYU in 1958. Settling in East Northport NY Hank was an Assistant Vice President with Irving Trust Company in New York City through the 1960?s. He moved his family to Miami FL in 1977. He retired from Barnett Banks in 1994. A lover of sports and avid golfer Hank was a resident at Pelican Bay and board member of Pelican Bay Country Club. He played with the Northeast Florida Seniors Golf Assn. He loved to travel possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was liked by all whom he met. Before becoming ill with Alzheimer?s he volunteered at SCORE advising entrepreneurs and new business owners on setting up and running a business. A US Army Corporal during the Korean War Hank was discharged in December 1952. He is survived and will be sorely missed by his wife of 53 years Joan his four children; Owen Endwell NY Susan Merrick NY Karen Altamonte Springs FL and Bryan Katonah NY and seven grandchildren.
