Helen Frances Zaks 99 of Port Orange and formerly of Baldwinsville New York passed away on June 27 2012 at Grand Villa Senior Living Community in Ormond Beach Florida. She was born in Syracuse New York on June 11 1913 and was the only child of Samuel and Theresa Krainer Schoeck. Helen graduated from North High School in Syracuse and proceeded to Stenographer school. She married Edmund (Eddy) G. Zaks on May 29 1937 in Syracuse New York. They resided in Baldwinville New York until 1973 when they moved to Port Orange Florida after Mr. Zaks retired from General Electric Company. Her husband passed away on December 12 1988. She worked for Gaylords Library Supply Company in the accounting department. Helen was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange since 1989. Survivors include her sons Gordon E. Zaks and his wife Kathleen of Lanesborough Massachusetts Ronald A. Zaks and his wife Karen of Keller Texas and Robin S. Zaks of Houztz Dale Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Kara E. Zaks Brandon P. Zaks Erika C. Zaks Matthew R. Zaks and great grandson Tyler A. Reale. A private family service was held on Friday June 29 2012 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Beach.
