Helen Ledgerton Stephens passed from this life on Monday February 11 2013. She was born on February 24 1925 in West Leisenring PA. She served in the Navy moving to Daytona Beach Florida where met and was married to the late William Stephens Jr. for 58 years. She worked multiple jobs throughout her life including Dental Assistant and School Lunch along with volunteering in the Volusia County Schools. She is survived by her daughter Heidi Stephens of Port Orange sons: William (Bud) H. Stephens (Holly) of Ormond Beach Harold Stephens of Port Orange. 5 grandchildren: Noah Lindsay Nicolas Kevin and Jake; 1 great-grandchild Jonathan Prentice. Gram loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids camping in Unicoi GA baking sewing card games reading and puzzles. She was well loved by her family and anyone she came in contact with. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the children's camp where Helen found joy supporting through her volunteer time: Camp Friendship Glenmary Missioners P.O.Box 67 Pontotoc MS. 38863. A small graveside service is planned for the afternoon of Friday February 22nd. Family and friends are welcome to attend a "Celebration of Her Life" at The Carribbean Condominium 2425 S. Atlantic Avenue Daytona Beach Shores between the hours of 5 p.m. thru 9 p.m.
