Obituary

Helen Mae Mazes, 84 of Palm Coast, passed away on May 19, 2013 at Benton Village. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 10:30 am until the funeral service at 11:30 am in Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW. Interment will immediately follow at Craig Flagler Palms Memorial Garden.

Helen was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and as a young child moved to New York City, where she graduated from the Robert E. Simmons High School. She was employed as a payroll specialist for the New York Telephone Company for over 30 years. After her retiring she moved with her husband John to Palm Coast. Helen was a volunteer for the Second Hand Rose and the Palm Coast Sheriff's Department. She enjoyed spending time on the water boating and relished in keeping very busy. She also enjoyed entertaining gathering with her friends decorating sewing and gardening. Helen loved life and all it had to offer.

Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Meyers. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, John H Mazes of Palm Coast; sons: Dwight Robinson, Ulric Robinson (Jocelyn), Jeffrey Mazes, all of New York; daughters: Janis Wiggins (Cederic) of Virginia and Adrienne Shelton of Pennsylvania. Helen was also the loving grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
