Helen Irene Lynady, age 92, a long time resident of the Daytona Beach area passed away on July 29, 2017. Funeral Service to be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Spivey officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach. Helen was born on March 5, 1925 in Lenoxville, PA to Howard and Irene (Cobb) Stephens. She attended Keystone Jr. College and Lackawana Business School, working in the Stephens family business, Stephens Ford, Lincoln & Mercury. Helen and familly relocated to Daytona Beach in 1951. She was involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations throughout her life. Helen was recognized for donations of hand made lap robes/blankets to hospitals, nursing homes, and veteran groups. Best remembered as owner/operator of "Shorty's Beach Wagon" at the Oakridge approach. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Jack R. Lynady Sr. Survived by a daughter, Patricia Umberger (Karl), two sons, Jack R. Lynady Jr. (Cynthia), and Mark H. Lynady (Jill). Eight grand-children, Michele Bishop, Perry Lyle II, Jack Lynady lll, Zachary Lynady, Nicole Hacker, Erin Bates, Helen Milano, and Joseph Brzuska lll. Fifteen great grand-children, Patricia, Grace, Hannah, Caleb, Carson, Cade, Lynady-Grace, Cadyn, Liam, Evan, Constance, Taylor, Joey, Elena, and Reagan. A daughter, Constance Brzuska (Joe), predeceased her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Hospice.
