A Memorial Service for Helen B. Hewett will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday November 13 in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with Chaplain James E. Smith of Halifax Medical Center officiating.
Helen was born in Kalkaska Michigan on March 19 1921 to Louie E. & Bessie Mosley Simon. She graduated in 1938 from Jackson High School in Jackson MI where she lived until moving to the Daytona area in 1971.
Helen was a devoted wife and mother; and greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a green thumb and spent many hours gardening. Helen also enjoyed crafts sewing camping and traveling; having gone to Hawaii with her husband Richard
where they always hoped to return. Helen was a homemaker during her time in Michigan and worked at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach for 11 years retiring in 1984.
Helen passed away on November 10 2004 at her home in Daytona Beach.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 56 years Richard Sr.; children Pat Bigford of Jackson MI Diane Hewett of Gillette WY Linda Bailey of Gillette WY Richard Hewett Jr. of Daytona Beach and Sharon Davis of Jacksonville FL; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
